A Novel's Journey: February 2009

I really am lucky. My husband is wonderful. What more could a woman want? Even after almost 13 years of marriage, he still makes my heart pound. I never imagined I could be so lucky.

Welcome to my writing blog!

Hi! I am a new author, published my first historical romance novel in 2010 and am now writing the sequel. As you can image, I spend a good deal of time researching my plots to make the time and place come alive.

The Victorian Era is a passion of mine. I spent a good many hours of my childhood daydreaming about the long beautiful dresses, the dashing men in their suits and top hats. I never thought about the underside of that life, how a woman would have to clean tobbaco spit off the hem of her dresses, or how the lack of bathing was cleverly hidden by perfume.

If anyone has facts to add to my research posts, I'd love to read them!
